Today saw the majority of the rafters go up, as well as the rest of the wall sheathing.

Another beautiful day! More sheathing on the upstairs walls, plus rafter material and roof sheathing material moved to second floor. Rafter template created.

Beautiful weather today, plenty of sunshine. No hay made, but plenty of walls.

Both gable ends and the side walls of the shed dormer have been raised. The face wall is built, but not yet raised.

February 22

The last of the joists are in, including the steel doubler where the center beam spans the bedroom. All joist hangers are in also.





Second floor decking is installed. The first gable end is assembled and ready to be raised.

Today saw joist hangers being added, along with a start to the second floor decking.

More joists going up. Done over the carport, 3/4 done over the house.

Carport is sheathed. The secondfloor joists are being installed.

Biggest change today is the carport. Originally it was to be for two cars, but due to a zoning interpretation, it had to be shortened to be further from the property line. The extra height allows for an entry door from the carport into the house. There will be a deck recessed into the roof of the carport. The deck is accessed from the studio space on the second floor.
